Storage containers are widely used because of their good security. Made from thick steel, and having strong doors with locking bars and handles makes them superior in strength for their size over a cheaper wooden alternative such as a shed.
The strength of storage containers and shipping containers makes them the most popular storage solution on building sites, and their ability to withstand considerable damage and wear and tear means they can be used for many years.
There is however always means to improve the security of your container, and that is why Willbox take all the necessary steps to ensure your steel container is not only a deterrent to opportunists, but also a highly secure storage unit.
All of our storage containers for hire are fitted with a lock box (locking shroud) which covers a high security padlock. When it comes to a padlock, Willbox recommend a CISA high security lock which is specifically designed for use with storage and shipping containers that feature a lock box. CISA padlocks are the container industry's preferred manufacturer of high security padlocks.
The optimum padlock for 20ft containers and smaller is the CISA 28556-66 which is a 66mm solid hardened steel padlock supplied with two keys, and perfectly fits in to the smaller lock boxes fitted on the modern style ISO Shipping containers.
If you are looking for a new padlock for your storage container, or ISO shipping container, please contact Willbox on 0800 023 5060; one of the UK's largest and most reputable supplier of container security solutions.
