Willbox offers a wide range of shipping containers for hire and sale. They are available for long or short-term hire from our 23 depots across the UK. Our shipping containers, also known as steel storage containers or freight containers, include a single set of double doors and a hook to secure the doors using a CISA padlock, that you can also purchase from us. As standard, our containers come in dark blue or the more popular dark green, but these can either be resprayed or factory ordered with any colour to your branding or preference.

Our shipping containers are available in different sizes to suit any and all site spaces and residential locations. This makes transportation easier as well and maximises efficiency during loading and unloading. The most common sizes are 20ft and 40ft in length, 8ft in width, and 8.6ft in height, which we store across all our depots.

Small shipping containers (Mini sets)

We are offering small containers, which are compact and portable containers used mainly for construction sites and storing goods. These containers come in various sizes, but they are typically smaller than standard shipping containers (some even fit inside standard 20ft containers) making them even easier and cheaper to transport when bought in bulk. Available for hire and purchase are 5ft, 6ft, 7ft, 8ft, 9ft and 10ft sizes. Due to their smaller size and weight, these containers can be placed in locations where larger containers are not suitable. They are stackable, making them ideal for temporary storage solutions or when space is limited.

Standard shipping container sizes

GP shipping containers are the most commonly used type of shipping container. They are available in 20ft, and 40ft sizes. Our conversions team can modify to bespoke sizes such as 30ft. These containers have become the most preferred choice due to their versatility, ease of handling, and ease of converting them into anything. Shipping containers are popular in the construction industry due to their sturdiness, cost-effectiveness, and ease of transportation. Additionally, they offer sustainable building options. Their adaptability also allows for a wide range of creative applications in construction projects.
